TERA can

TERA can device, completely identical to the TERA fleet device, additionally contains the possibility for connecting the device to the “on-board” computer of the vehicle in order to download additional information about the condition of the vehicle and the vehicle system. Parameters that can be downloaded from the vehicle computer include, among others:

  • Vehicle speed in km / h
  • Engine temperature in degrees Celsius
  • Mileage (in kilometers) as a cumulative value (odometer)
  • Number of engine operating hours as a cumulative value
  • Fuel level in the tank as a percentage of the full tank
  • Fuel consumption for vehicle engine (in liters) as a cumulative value
  • Interval (in kilometers) until the next vehicle service

The possibility for connecting to the vehicles computer is realized within the device itself, which means that the device retains it’s small dimensions.

TERA can device supports additional configuration based on the parmeters coming from the vehicle computer, so, for example, it can be configured to generate an event after detecting a change in value(eg. fuel level in the tank) by more than a few percent or when the engine temperature is higher than e.g.  90 degrees Celsius.

TERA can device is connected to the vehicle computer in accordance with the international standard supported by all major manufacturers of trucks and buses and includes:

  • Volvo
  • DAF

TERA can device, like all other TERA devices, supports the connection of additional equipment in order to increase the functionality of the installation in the vehicle.
